Two elevated editorial concepts to shoot.

Throughout the day, we’ll be running two editorial concepts where you'll have plenty of opportunities to capture stunning editorial photos and videos and refresh your portfolio with high-end wedding content. Multiple stations will be running simultaneously, allowing you to rotate between setups in two groups of 5 people. This ensures that everyone gets a chance to take the lead, get up close, and direct the models with confidence.

For each concept you’ll have access to a beautifully styled table setup, flatlay details, one model couple, and one professional female model.

Education & practical tips from your host.

We’ll begin the day with a warm welcome — delicious snacks, tea, and coffee — giving you the chance to settle in, meet fellow creatives, and set the tone for an inspiring experience.

The morning kicks off with a presentation by your host, Petra, where she’ll share her insights into editorial wedding photography. Throughout the day, Petra will be right there with you — guiding, demonstrating, and sharing her approach to lighting, composition, and working with models.

This is your chance to gain invaluable behind-the-scenes knowledge, ask questions, and refine your own creative process through hands-on learning.

Lunch & get-together.

After the first editorial, we’ll sit down for a shared healthy vegetarian lunch (provided by us) — this will be great time to relax, connect, and soak in the experience. The Lovis workshop is about more than capturing editorial content and learning from your host; it’s about building a supportive community. Use this moment to spark new conversations, share ideas, and maybe even meet future collaborators or lifelong friends (I met mine this way!).

Meet your host, Petra

High-end wedding photographer documenting elegant & modern weddings

Petra’s photography journey began over two decades ago when she inherited her first analog camera — a treasured gift from her grandfather, a lifelong photographer. She went on to complete her photography degree in 2010 before moving to London, where she spent over a decade working as a creative director and commercial photographer.

In 2022, Petra photographed her first wedding in Ireland, igniting her passion for editorial wedding photography. Since then, she has built an international clientele, capturing weddings across Spain, France, the UK, Slovakia, Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Recognised as one of the Top 5 Wedding Photographers in the Netherlands in 2024, Petra’s work has been featured in renowned publications such as Wezoree, The WED, Together Journal, Wedding Chicks, Wedvibes, and more.

  • The Lovis workshop will be hosted in ENGLISH. Our team, including the photographer, is international, and english will ensure that all participants can fully engage and connect throughout the experience.

  • We are releasing just 10 tickets for the Lovis workshop. Keeping the group small ensures that every attendee gets ample shooting time, direct access to industry experts, and the opportunity to create high-end content without feeling rushed. This intimate setting allows for deeper learning, meaningful connections, and a truly immersive experience.

  • The Lovis workshop will take place in a professional daylight studio located in the center of Amsterdam. This carefully chosen space provides the perfect backdrop for creating elegant, high-end editorial imagery. The exact address will be shared with ticket holders one week before the event.

  • Both photographers and videographers are welcome! The Lovis workshop is designed for anyone looking to capture stunning editorial content for their brand. However, due to the limited number of spots available, each attendee — whether part of a team or attending solo — will need to purchase their own ticket.

  • Your ticket to the Lovis workshop includes attendance for 1 person for the entirety of the day — including education, long lunch and two editorial shoots. We will provide coffee and light snacks in the morning, as well as vegetarian lunch.

  • The Lovis workshop welcomes photographers and videographers of all levels! Whether you're just starting out and have yet to shoot your first wedding or you're an experienced creative looking to refine your editorial style and attract high-end clients, this workshop offers valuable insights and inspiration for everyone.

  • Make sure to bring your camera gear, including camera bodies, lenses, batteries, SD cards, flashes, and if you shoot film, your film camera and rolls. We also recommend bringing a notepad and pen to take notes during the presentation part of the workshop.

    Additionally, all participants are required to have their own liability insurance to attend. We reserve the right to refuse access to anyone who cannot provide proof of coverage.

  • The workshop will feature a beautifully curated selection of two editorial setups, including a stunning tablescape, flatlays, stationery details, and an elegant cake display. Each editorial will include a model couple and a solo female model, providing a variety of storytelling opportunities.

    To ensure a smooth experience, participants will be divided into two groups of five. This allows everyone to have ample time to step in, take the lead, direct the models, and capture the content up close without feeling rushed.

  • Tickets to the Lovis workshop are non-refundable. However, if you're no longer able to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else. You will be responsible for finding a replacement, selling the ticket, and handling all financial transactions. Please let us know if you transfer your ticket so we can update our attendee list accordingly.
